Illuminating Truth, Wisdom, and Love
Welcome to the Innerlumen Foundation, where we affirm the sanctity and dignity of all human life, created in the image of God and reflecting the light of God, and the inherent worth of every individual.
By nurturing the divine presence in all, we hope to thereby nurture growth of spiritual light in all individuals so that God’s presence may be witnessed more fully on earth.
In all things, we seek to glorify God on earth, by reflecting and magnifying the light of His Love in the world.
We acknowledge the Holy Spirit’s presence and work in our lives, showering us with the gifts of wisdom, understanding, counsel, fortitude, knowledge, piety, and fear of the Lord.
We hold that all true wisdom and knowledge ultimately come from God, who, in His divine providence, has allowed many to develop divine insights in their sincere pursuit of Him. We cherish the virtues and teachings of true Christian faith and recognize the unique path each soul takes in seeking deeper union with God.
“Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?“
And he said to him, “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself. On these two commandments depend all the Law and the Prophets.” – Matthew 22:36-40
We honor autonomy and believe in the following code of conduct:
- We treat others with love and respect, recognizing the uniqueness of their path toward communion with the Living God.
- Each person is called to a deeper relationship with God, who dwells within them, and is guided by the light and wisdom of the Holy Spirit.
- Our greatest service to others begins with our own continual conversion, striving for holiness and deeper union with Christ.
- We can assist others also by listening with compassion, reflecting God’s truth, and seeking to understand their words and actions without judgment.
- We encourage all to honor their bodies and souls as temples of the Holy Spirit, embracing their God-given dignity and purpose in creation.
- We offer material and spiritual support to those in need, fostering community and solidarity, while maintaining right order in our own lives.
Furthermore, we adhere to the following principles:
- We promote health of body, mind and spirit in ourselves and others, to more fully reflect the light of God within us, so His presence can shine more brightly in the world we inhabit.
- We speak truthfully and lovingly, and act with integrity and faithfulness.
- We cultivate gratitude, promote peace, and strive for excellence in all things.
- We show kindness and compassion, seek understanding and clarity, and practice forgiveness.
